Moral Leadership
"I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord…that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which He hath spoken."
Genesis 18:19

What kind of man was the Lord looking for to divulge His inner secrets? It was a man who was faithful to morally command his family well. As a result God funneled down blessing not just to Abraham, but to his whole family for generations. God looks upon a man’s house as an extension of himself—a connection we husbands and fathers cannot disregard without suffering serious damage. C. H. M. explains “The man who fails in faith to appropriate the privilege will fail in moral power to answer the responsibility.” —W. Henderson

Home—the father’s kingdom, the mother’s world, and the child’s paradise. —Charles Crowe
